Springnote's Transformation Story - Chapter 2   [ Sharing and Publishing ]

Hello.

We are continuing in working on Springnote's user environment so that users can work more quickly and efficiently. Today's release, as previewed in our last release, is on the change of our sharing and public page features.

''More sturdy 'Sharing' and 'Publishing'''

Through polls and tests on usage, we've realized that problems and concerns relating to sharing and publishing were a lot bigger than we expected.

Originally, users would navigate to 'Shared Pages' and 'Menu', only to find no options to share.

With issues on users not being able to find the 'Share' button, we have decided to put a share button to a location easily visible.

1.As shown below, the 'Share' button has now been exposed within the editing space.

2.Once clicked, a dialog box that conveniently shows sharing options appears.

3.Also, you can now see the public status of your page through a lock icon. When the lock is locked and in blue it means that your page is private. An unlocked lock in yellow means that the page is public, available for anyone to view. Clicking the lock icon will allow you toggle setting your page to private/public.

4. You can also go the the sharing menu through the main 'Menu' button.

While we were working on the tasks mentioned above, we also have changed the main menu.

In front of each item in the main menu, you now can see small icons in front of each item. Also we have added a feature where you can increase or decrease the text size within the editing space.

As much as everyone was uncomfortable with our layout previously, we are pretty sure that everyone will have a lot to say about this release as well.

We ask everyone to leave their opinions through either email (springnote@openmaru.com) or through our forum.

We will continue to work on a more convenient and pleasant Springnote. Thanks to everyone~ =)
