Springnote Release Notes - June 13, 2007 - Source Code Citation, Strengthening the History Feature
Hello. This is the Springnote team.
We're continuing in our two-week releases with our 5th release.
Last week we've continued on working on our new UI. We're also thinking about how we can improve our editor toolbar to make it more simple and easy to use. We're especially looking into text formatting, citations, and paragraph headings.

[New Feature] Source Code Citation
- Thanks to Moo!! for this feature and also to the 23 people who voted for this feature.
- This feature now lets you cite source codes by making it easily disguisable from other text areas. This was the number one requested feature for some time now. While using this citation feature, the font is automatically set to Courier. We hope that this new feature will be useful to developers and coders around the world.^^
- Hello world!
-
[Improvement] More details in History.
- Now, when viewing history you can see details when you change a page name, page location, add a file attachment, delete a file attachment, change a page's permission settings, or set a page to private/public. This is now listed so that you can easily see what has been changed in a specific revision.
- Now you can see who has changed a page name, who has attached files, and all other page activity.
- We will soon add a way to see changes made by a specific member who has writing access to your page..

[Improvement] Automatic same file name confliction prevention
- Before, when you would attach a file to your page by the name of a file with the same exact name, it would automatically write over the existing file with no prior warning. However, this has now been changed. File attachments with the same file name will have a number added at the end of the name to prevent name confliction.

[Improvement] Fixed bugs when exporting to blogs.
- We have fixed the problem where class/category settings could not be done. You can now set the class/category when posting blogs through Springnote.
- We have also fixed the problem that occured in Tetatools where pressing the Text button in the [Settings] page would give you an error.
-
[Improvement] Recategorizing Mashups.
- Have you looked at the mashups posted in the Developer Community? You can see many various, useful mashups that developers have created in the Developer community. These are plug-ins created using Springnote's provided API. These have also now been reclassified according to type - plug-in, book marklet, program, etc. to provide more easy recognition of what type of mashup it is..
- You can take a look at the products in the product description in the Developer Community!

Through future release notes, we plan to update everyone on the progression of Springnote's redesigned UI. Keep in mind that we have release notes every two weeks!
Again, we ask for everyone's contribution and support in creating a better Springnote. We will continue to work hard!
