Auto-Conversion

Auto-Conversion allows you to type in different keyboard sequences and convert it into different types of formatted text or apply features.

Paragraph

• Ordered List / Unordered List

  • By entering an asterick "*" followed by space and text content and then by pushing the Enter key, you can have this converted to a bullet list.
    For example, typing the following
    

    * content goes here

and then pressing the Enter key will give you a bullet list. You can also use a dash mark ( - ) instead of the asterisk for the same effect.

By using numbers, you can easily create a numbered list, by typing "1." followed by a single space, your content, and press the Enter key.

• Automatic Links

  • URLs that start with the following will automatically become external links.

    • ftp
    • http
    • https
    • mailto 
  • External links to images will also be automatically converted. Please note that images that are linked to an external source are not saved as an attachment on the corresponding Springnote page.
• Division Line

• When starting a sentence, type 3 or more dash marks "---" followed by pressing the Enter key to convert it into a horizontal line (hr).

Date and Time Display

When you are writing a to-do list or want to jot down your ideas, you may also want to write the time and date on your Springnote page.

Press Ctrl + Space after you type @today
to dispaly the current time. (Ctrl + Shift + Space on MAC Computers)

Disable Auto-Conversion

If you want to disable auto-conversion, instead of just pressing the Enter key after each command, press Ctrl + Enter for the command to not be recognized. 

• Start your sentence with
• = title here 1 =
  == title here 2 ==
  === title here 3 ===
  ==== title here 4 ====
  ===== title here 5 =====
  ====== title here 6 ======

  and push the Enter key on the keyboard for it to be converted to a specific heading style.

  For example, typing the following

• === new ===

  will give the heading style 3 and will appear as shown below.

• new
