Plug-in: Create a table of contents#

The 'Create a table of contents' plug-in is for creating a table of contents in a page.

 

How to activate the plug-in#

  1. From the Plug-in Settings tab from the Settings menu, enable "Create a table of contents" from the list of plug-ins.
    (Please refer to set up plug-ins for more details)
  2. After you have enabled the plug-in, click the [Add-ons] button from the toolbar and select "Create a table of contents".
  3. Update table of contents (use this if you have modified content that needs to be updated)

    ==> Right click the table with the list of subpages and select 'Update table of contents' from the menu.

  4. Deleting table of contents

    ==> Right click the table with the list of subpages and select 'Delete table of contents' from the menu.

 

TOC (Table of Contents) Indentation#

According to the headings, the indentation will be automatically applied.

If you create you page with the following structure

Heading 1 - Heading 3 - Heading 3 - Heading 1 - Heading 3 - Heading 6 - Heading 3

 

The TOC will be appear as shown below

 

  1. Heading 1

    1. Heading 3
    2. Heading 3
  2. Heading 1

    1. Heading 3

      1. Heading 6
    2. Heading 3

       

 

If the order of headings is not correct, the blank heading will appeared.

for example) Heading 1 - Heading 6 - Heading 3 - Heading 1 - Heading 3 - Heading 6 - Heading 3

 

 

  1. Heading 1

    1.                                               <-  a blank heading shows up

      1. Heading 6
    2. Heading 3
  2. Heading 1

    1. Heading 3

      1. Heading 6
    2. Heading 3
